Wonderful concert this afternoon. Janet VanValey's farewell concert. She is retiring because of health reasons. Mary played on one number with Mike Perkins another flautist and percussion and the bells. Nancy Reile is just in front of her.

HFH Reunion At English Inn
Fifty nine years ago these wonderful ladies graduated from Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing. This was their annual reunion -- this year at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids, MI
Portage Central High School Marching Band- Cymbals section at Kenawa Hills
First band competition of this year. They had the highest score of any of the bands that played there, including a AA school. Alex is the last on the right.

Dan and Jilby Cheston and three of their children were on their way home and stopped for a visit with Mary and Matt. We came over and had a grand time seeing them and good dinner. We have not seen them for close to 20 years. Mary and Jilby were friends in high school when we went up to BayView for musicals and music lessons.

She was very tired when we visited to meet her. Fur just as soft and silky as can be, and loves to snuggle. She is German shepherd/husky mix.

I try to take one every year around this time (end of October), when the red leaves are down. The leaves though, are not as plentiful this year, but she was behaving well, so thought I'd try it.
